The pathway to parenthood can be challenging to navigate when you are a same-sex couple. Ellie and Erica always knew that they wanted to become parents, but they also knew that they would need some help to realise their dream. In this blog post, we share their beautiful story of finding their lifes’ purpose with the help of the team at Thérapie Fertility.

Meet Erica & Ellie
"I’m Erica,” "and I’m Ellie, and this is Poppy” the couple begins, as Ellie proudly cradles their beautiful baby daughter.

The Beginning of the Journey
The couple had talked many times about beginning their family but when COVID happened in 2020, that dream was put on the back burner. “We had talked about and discussed it many times.” Ellie says. She continues “Once things settled down, we just said, right, this is our time now.” They started looking into their options and the name Thérapie Fertility kept popping up.

“We got onto Thérapie Fertility, and decided we would go to them. We got a very good kind of very homely feeling from here. We walked away feeling amazing after being here... It's like a big family feel!”

Support & Compassionate Care
From the beginning, the couple felt completely at ease with the Thérapie Fertility team. "Thérapie Fertility was our place. It was just meant for us. And the process was great.” Ellie says. As a same-sex couple they felt completely reassured by the level of support, compassion and care provided to them.

Take That First Step
"If you're thinking about it and you're kind of thinking, will I do it? Will I not do it? Just go for it,” says Erica. “Because at the end of the day, you don't know your happiness until you try for it. And that's what I think really matters, you know? You have to allow yourself to be happy and you can’t put a price on your own dream come true.”
