The pathway to parenthood can be daunting for a young couple who are unable to conceive naturally. Kayleigh and Christopher had been trying to start their family for a number of years before they turned to Thérapie Fertility for help. In this blog post, we share their beautiful story of bringing their son Arlo into the world, with the help of the team at Thérapie Fertility.
Meet Kayleigh and Christopher
“I'm Kaylee, and I'm originally from South Africa, Johannesburg.” Kayleigh begins, as she proudly watches her husband hold their newborn son. He continues. “I'm Christopher Dupree, and I’m also originally from Johannesburg, South Africa.” “I was on the contraceptive pill, and then I stopped that for about two years prior to trying for a child. Nothing was happening. We tried everything and we just weren't successful. So, we lost hope and I begged Christopher to go and get us both tested out just to see if anything was wrong.”
Starting the Journey
The couple had been trying to conceive for quite some time before they started looking for a fertility clinic to help. “And yeah, we found Thérapie. I found them online, looked at the reviews and saw that they were around the corner, right here by where we live. So, we booked an appointment and started our journey from there.” Kayleigh tells us. The couple then decided to attend Thérapie Fertility for a free nurse consultation.

Right from the moment they attended the fertility clinic, the couple felt at ease. “They did all the tests with us. They informed us that, because of our results, we needed to do ICSI specifically. I thought it was a really good process. In terms of the medication, the information that was provided was very informative and very helpful. I could obviously call in to the clinic any time if I needed any assistance,”
Kayleigh told us. “They were very thoughtful as well. For me, I think that’s everything.”
Choosing Your Clinic
“The success rates and figures that were coming out of Thérapie Fertility were our motivating factor.” Christopher told us. Kayleigh then recalls the moment she got the phone call from the clinic to confirm that she was pregnant. “I was over the moon. Elation! I still remember it. And the nurse told me the results and she was like, you're very, very, very pregnant. And I was just overjoyed. I think I started crying! I mean, since I was a little girl, I've wanted a child or children, so to say. It's just my biggest dream come true.”
Trusting The Process
The happy parents had this piece of advice for others encountering fertility challenges. “Just to stay positive, trust in the process and ask the nurses at any point for any help if you're unsure about anything. It's been not only professional but we've been at ease and it's been comfortable. I would 120 percent recommend Thérapie Fertility.”
