There are many reasons why a person or a couple may need to use donor sperm on their journey to parenthood. Donor sperm can be used for IUI, IVF/ICSI as well as Reciprocal IVF.
We work with the European Sperm Bank in order to provide our patients with the highest standard of sperm available. Our unique patient portal allows you to order your sperm directly from the bank, giving you the lowest possible prices and the most amount of control over the selection process.
Donor sperm can be used in fertility treatments in order to achieve pregnancy. It is used for single people, same sex female couples and for those couples where male factor infertility is preventing them from becoming pregnant.
No, Thérapie Fertility do not provide donor egg services. At present, we only provide donor sperm services via European Sperm Bank.
We contact European Sperm Bank to advise of positive pregnancies every month, so there is no need.
Yes we do providing that it is from European Sperm Bank and that the sperm donor is registered for Ireland.
When undergoing IUI 3 straws of donor sperm are recommend and if undergoing IVF, only 1 straw of donor sperm is needed.
No, this is not a requirement. When you order your donor sperm via European Sperm Bank they will match you with donors who meet your requirements.
Yes. Since the introduction of the Children and Families Relationships Act 2015 (CFRA), both parents can be named on a birth certificate of a donor conceived child who is conceived in an Irish fertility clinic and born in Ireland. If you are intending to give birth outside of Ireland, please check the relevant legislation in that country and seek independant legal advice.
No, this is not something we facilitate at Thérapie Fertility, as we do not do egg donation.

Whether it was after our 1st, 2nd or even 3rd cycle, through the good times n not so good times there was always someone at the end of the phone or email to talk things through with you. My experience at Therapie has been nothing but positive! All the doctors and nurses were absolutely amazing. I want to thank everyone in Thérapie for my wonderful experience from start to finish.
