Gemma and Callums’ IVF Journey With Thérapie Fertility

The path to becoming parents is challenging for a young couple who are unable to become pregnant naturally. Gemma and Callum always knew that they would need fertility treatment in order to conceive, and when the time came, they turned to Thérapie Fertility for help. Meet Gemma and Callum

“I'm Gemma and I'm from Longford.” Gemma begins. “And I'm Callum, I'm from Meath. And this is baby Daisy!” Callum adds with a laugh. The couple settle back, with Gemma glancing adoringly at her sleeping daughter as they begin to tell their story. "We met in college. Yeah. And we were friends before, we knew we both wanted kids.”

Where To Begin

Gemma and Callum were aware that conceiving naturally would not happen for them and so it was always something in the back of their minds. “We knew we always needed fertility treatment, so when we knew that we wanted to start having kids, we just kind of started to like look around at our options.”

After the couple had spoken to a number of fertility clinics, they decided to attend Thérapie Fertility for a free consultation. “We had reached out to a few different places, and we just found that the people in Thérapie Fertility were really easy to talk to and it was very easy to get communication back and forth compared to some other places.”

But Dr. John, when we talked to him, he said that IVF was the best option.” They continued. “The staff here were very helpful, any questions or queries we had, they were able to answer it. We found the portal was really good. You know, you could just send a quick message and you know, like either they'd message you back pretty much straight away or else like give you a phone call if they probably felt that they could probably explain it better that way.”

When asked why they chose Thérapie Fertility over other options they may have had, Callum said “You know, they took more time, and were just in general, like, friendlier” He went on to say “I think that they're, like, absolutely amazing.
